WHAT DO WE OFFER

CRESNET offers students a path to becoming a Certified Field Inspector using either HERS or other software (eg. HOT2000) (note that Hot2000 training is pending). The training is deigned to take you from first principles of air leakage through house inspections, recording, air tightness testing to the use of energy modelling software and reporting.

ONE

Accredited REM/Rate Energy Modeler for code compliance

2 ½ day training course including 2 in-house energy modeling exercises with exam on last half day.

TWO

Accredited Air Tightness Tester

1 day ATT course and exam

THREE

Accredited Field Inspector

Would have the above two qualifications, and

• 1 day onsite course,

• Rater exam and

• Mentorship on 3 houses.

Please note that all training accommodates HERS or Energuide rating systems.

Air Tightness Testing Training- Virtual class

This Half-day course provides you with fundamental training on the building science of air tightness and how it can be measured. It is the first building block to becoming a fully accredited air tightness tester and a requirement for becoming a Canadian HERS Energy Rater. Introductory Course fees are $150.
