CRESNET was incorporated as a Canadian Non-Profit Organization under the Canada Corporations Act. The first four Directors of the Corporation were JOHN GODDEN, PAUL DUFFY, BRUCE GOUGH AND PETER REYNOLDS
RESNET signs an MOU with the CRESNET Board to allow CRESNET to become an international affiliate and to adopt common rater certification, quality assurance, code of ethics and standards of practice. This MOU has been extended several times since.
CRESNET develops Canadian Reference Home for use in HERS Scale.
CRESNET is granted funds from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to develop a training course for air tightness testing.
Bruce Gough Memorial Scholarship initiated.
Ontario Building Code updated to include energy modelling path with HERS compliant software.
Project Future Proof granted first HERS Providership in Canada. on behalf of CRESNET by RESNET.
The first Cross Border Challenge is conducted as a partnership between RESNET and CRESNET. Winners announced at the RESNET Conference.
CRESNET develops and launches HERS Training program.
CRESNET participates in the update to CAN/CGSB 149.10 and updates its Air Tightness Training Course
All in person training and events are curtailed due to COVID-19 Pandemic.
HVAC Designers of Canada signs an MOU with the CRESNET Board to allow CRESNET to establish a formal collaboration between CRESNET and HVACDC in the areas of HVAC design, Building Code Energy Modelling (BCEM), energy efficiency initiatives, working towards an interface that facilitates seamless collaboration between HVAC designers and energy raters. This will allow for better coordination and more accurate energy assessments.
